Position: 100% Permanent Teacher – ( K to 4 Music; Middle Yrs Core Subjects)
Location: portage la prairie
The Portage la Prairie School Division is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher to join our team commencing the 2026/27 School Year at Oakville School in Oakville, Manitoba. Oakville is approximately a 40-minute drive down the Trans Canada Hwy West from Winnipeg.
The Portage la Prairie School Division is committed to providing excellent educational programs to help students learn and mature. The Division believes strongly in the concept of community and promotes the provision of appropriate programs to meet the varied needs of students.

Qualifications
- Valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate in good standing required
- Demonstrated ability to plan, teach and assess learning
- Effective classroom management and organizational skills
- Proven ability to support diverse learning needs
- Ability to create and nurture a positive, respectful, and inclusive learning environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, student support teams and division leaders
- Proficiency in vocal and/or instrumental instruction A
- Ability to plan, deliver and teach fundamental music concepts including rhythm, melody, harmony, and movement
- Ability to organize and direct school performances, concerts, and assemblies
