Reporting to the Director, IP Operations, this position centers on assisting trademark professionals and clients. You will focus on preparing and reviewing trademark applications while ensuring efficient communication with the Canadian Intellectual Property Office. The team environment fosters collaboration and demands excellence, especially under tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with trademark application reviews and preparations
• Manage responses to trademark formalities office actions
• Compile updates to the Goods and Services Manual
• Maintain the in-house Intellectual Property database
• Monitor daily diaries and reminders relevant to cases
Requirements:
• University degree or equivalent diploma in legal studies
• 3-5 years of trademark related experience
• Familiarity with Nice Classification procedures
• Strong communication skills with clients
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and bilingualism is an asset
