Westerkirk Capital Inc. (WCI) is a private investment company based in Victoria, BC. It is seeking an IT Support Specialist to support operations in Toronto. The organization is a single-family office managing assets across various portfolios and asset classes.
Reporting to the IT Director, the IT Support Specialist will provide customer service and support across a wide range of technologies.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Providing Level 1 support for the helpdesk system, processing work requests and providing customer service.
- Deploying employee equipment, including adds, moves and changes.
- Coordinating the effective installation, configuration, operation and maintenance of systems hardware, software and related infrastructure.
- Monitoring assigned servers and network applications to ensure continuity of service.
- Maintaining critical systems including servers, domain, virtualization platform, messaging, etc.
- Ensuring that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational standards.
- Training users on the proper use of hardware/software.
- Assisting or supporting project teams with implementation.
- Completing service tickets within company SLAs.
- Providing impeccable customer service to clients at all levels of the organization.
- Providing on‑call 24/7/365 support for any technology‑related emergencies.
- Providing back‑up support to the Systems Administrator, supporting the personal and business IT needs of the primary shareholders.
Required Skills and Competencies
- 3–5+ years of Information Technology experience.
- Diploma or higher in Information Technology or related field.
- Experience working in a family office.
- Experience in the hospitality industry, especially in spa and restaurant environments, is an asset.
- Customer service orientation with a desire to provide distinctive user experience.
- Previous experience supporting the Microsoft suite, Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Mac, iOS, and Android.
- Preference for experience with Book 4 Time, Silverware, Certify, Yardii, Day Force, Freshworks, and Smartsheet.
- Experience with project management methodology using Smartsheet.
- Ability to manage and maintain private and confidential information with professionalism.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Experience with MS Azure and Cisco Meraki is required.

Salary
$80,000–$95,000 annually
